Wool makes update: Crochet by day, knit by night

No completed achievements to show this month as I clink on with a couple of larger projects, but I fancied sharing some photo updates of my progress: Crochet by Day I'm a lunch crocheter at the moment - well, a broomstick crocheter anyway - and am currently working on a birthday present during my lunch hours.  The wool is called Senses by Stylecraft, and it's been lovely to work with. Crocheted Bunny

I haven't done a lot of crocheting beyond the string bags I make for the Etsy shop.  However, this bunny pattern has been a project I've been looking forward to making for a long time. Published in Simply Crochet magazine, this bunny originates from a lovely looking book called Edward's Menagerie by Kerry Lord. Bee Themed!

One of the best parts about handmade is that you can make whatever it is you're making personal! This is how my bee themed gift and card came about when a couple my partner's friends with had a baby recently.  As the father currently does work relating to bees, the gift became centered around this! The crocheted bee mobile was a lot of fun to make.  I used clear nylon string to attach them to an embroidery hoop for the top of the mobile.  Acrylic yarn was used so it should be hard-wearing.
